Carlos De Oliveira has pleaded not guilty to charges of knowingly receiving and possessing documents related to President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign.

De Oliveira is a co-defendant of Trump associate Roger Stone and was arrested in February along with Stone on seven counts of making false statements, witness tampering, and obstruction of justice.

De Oliveira has maintained his innocence throughout the legal process, and his plea of not guilty indicates that he has no intention of cooperating with federal prosecutors in this case.

De Oliveira will appear before U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson next week to respond to the charges against him. It is unclear at this time whether he intends to cooperate with the government or not.
