The Biden administration has launched an initiative to encourage more people to register to vote at citizenship ceremonies. The effort will include the partnering of the Department of Homeland Security with the nonpartisan non-profit organizations Voto Latino, Asian Americans Advancing Justice, the League of Women Voters, and Rock the Vote to develop materials and best practices for outreach at Naturalization Ceremonies. The materials will explain the voter registration process, direct those who are eligible to cast ballots, and explain the importance of participating in elections. The Biden administration is also working with state and local officials to expand voter registration opportunities in more communities across the country.
