Arrests related to the January 6th riot at the U.S. Capitol continue, with the most recent suspect being a fifth man who allegedly attacked Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone. The suspect reportedly threw a metal stool at Officer Fanone in an attempt to prevent him from arresting other rioters. He is now facing charges of assault on a federal law enforcement officer and obstruction of an official proceeding. Law enforcement continues to conduct searches and make arrests in an effort to apprehend those responsible for the attack on the Capitol building.
