Kamala Harris says she is prepared and ready to take over as president if the need arises and Joe Biden is unable to fulfill the duties of the office. Harris told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow in a Thursday night interview that “of course” she is ready to step in as President if needed. She stated that she had an obligation to the American people and to the Constitution to be ready to assume the presidency should any situation arise. Harris also added that while she was “confident” Biden was well and would continue to serve as president for the duration of his terms, she was “proud to be part of a partnership” in which “if something were to happened, God forbid, I would have to step in.”
