Joe Biden was apparently not pleased with a suggestion made by his son Hunter Biden, in a 2010 email exchange obtained by Fox News. The exchange between the father and son occurred after Hunter suggested that Barack Obama could face charges of plagiarism over a speech he delivered from a Biden speech several years prior.

In response, Joe Biden wrote: “Plagiarism. Plagiarism, nowhere, no one, no how. No subtlety. No grace. And all of a sudden we made it about him.”

This statement from Biden indicates that he was not pleased with Hunter’s suggestion, and implies that Obama had acted without grace in not acknowledging the origins of his speech. Whether Biden was suggesting that Obama should have given credit to Biden or that Obama had acted without class is unclear. Biden has not made any public statement on the matter since the emails have been made public.
