Disney has dropped all of its claims except for the free speech violation in its political retaliation suit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. The suit claims that the Governor and other Florida officials retaliated against the company by finding non-existent issues related to COVID-19 safety protocols and threatening to revoke Disney’s business licenses if it didn’t comply with the requested changes. Disney is seeking an injunction to prohibit the Governor and other state officials from taking similar actions against it in the future and to restore its status in the state. The judge in the case is expected to begin hearing arguments soon.
