Sen. Tim Scott, a South Carolina Republican, opened up recently about his relationship status and admitted that he’s currently in a relationship with a “lovely Christian girl.”
The GOP lawmaker, who is known for his strict conservative values and support of Christian values, said he and his new flame had bonded over shared beliefs in God.
“We respect each other’s faith and values,” Scott said. “And so we talk about those things, and how we can strengthen our spiritual journey each week – that’s important to us.”
It is unclear when the two began dating, but Scott has been vocal about the importance of his Christian faith and his relationship with Jesus Christ. He has also spoken about how faith has helped him get through difficult times.
The relationship has not yet been made public, but it looks like Scott’s commitment to Christianity is alive and well.
