Republican lawmakers are calling out Hunter Biden for his “cozy relationship” with a Chinese businessman linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The lawmakers cite evidence from Hunter Biden’s former business associate Tony Bobulinski that suggests the younger Biden was participating in a business deal involving the CCP.
Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) and Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) voiced their concerns in an official statement, citing Bobulinski’s evidence as “damning” and calling Hunter Biden’s relationship “very troubling” and possibly illegal.
The pair argue that this is necessary to hold the Bidens and their associates accountable as investigation into their role in the deal continues. The House Republicans are demanding that the Biden family share “all documents related to their dealings with Communist China” immediately.
