House Republicans are “full steam ahead” with their impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump even amid leadership uncertainty in their party. House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-Wy.) said on Wednesday that the inquiry is continuing despite the lack of a clear House Speaker. She said the chamber will continue to move forward “in accordance with the process that we’ve outlined” and that “we are fully engaged in the Speaker’s race and also in the impeachment inquiry.” Cheney noted that Republicans have been successful in working with Democrats to pass a number of pieces of bipartisan legislation, such as the bipartisan budget deal and a disaster relief package. She also said that House Republicans are “committed to getting things done” and that “there’s a lot more that we can do to get things done for the American people.”
