The campaign of Congressman Ramesh Ramaswamy has raised more than $7.4 million over the past three months, according to a statement released by the congressman’s team. The donations came from individuals, corporations, and political action committees (PACs).

Ramaswamy is running in a hotly contested congressional race in the state of Washington and looking to defend his congressional seat against all challengers. Last quarter, the congressman’s campaign raised over $3 million. That number was nearly tripled in the latest filing period, with individual donations accounting for $5.3 million of the total haul.

Throughout the campaign season, Congressman Ramaswamy has secured several endorsements from major political names and organizations. In addition, his team successfully completed a multi-state tour across Washington during which they were able to speak to constituents and build engagement.

Analysts have cited the Congressman’s fundraising success as a sign of strong public support for his reelection. It remains to be seen whether his impressive fundraising numbers will be able to translate into success in the all-important November election.
