The Rafah Crossing is the primary point of entry and exit for the people of the Gaza Strip. It is the only way for Gazans living in the region to enter or leave the strip, as well as the only way for goods and assistance to enter. The crossing has been repeatedly closed and opened throughout the years, but has been closed in recent years due to the ongoing war, blockade, and complex internal politics in the region. Thus, it has become the last hope for Gazans to escape the war and look for a better future beyond Gaza’s borders.
