State Representative Randy Fine, a Republican from Brevard County Florida, has recently endorsed President Trump, breaking from Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, who has yet to make any formal endorsement of the incumbent. Fine believes that DeSantis is in a “tough spot,” according to The Forward, citing “the fact that Trump has long been deeply unpopular in his mega-donor donor class.” Fine, who is Jewish, also argued that under Trump’s presidency, Israel enjoyed an increase in support from the United States. He praised the president for moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing Israel’s claim to the Golan Heights, and generally “unwrapping” President Obama’s “failed foreign policy” when it comes to Israel and the Middle East.
