Sam Bankman-Fried, the CEO of FTX, is set to testify as part of a federal fraud trial, according to his attorney. A DOJ indictment alleges that Jaymes Meyer of Swan Bitcoin defrauded investors of millions. Bankman-Fried, who was one of Meyer’s largest investors, is one of the witnesses scheduled to appear in the trial. He is expected to testify as to how Meyer’s investment caused the value of Swan Bitcoin to plummet. Bankman-Fried will be the first witness to appear in the trial, which is set to begin later this month.
