New York Democratic Rep. Higgins will leave Congress in February

Rep. Brian Higgins, a New York Democrat who has represented parts of Buffalo and surrounding suburbs in Congress for the past 15 years, announced in November 2020 that he would not seek re-election and would leave Congress after one final term in February 2021. Higgins has said he plans to pursue opportunities in the private sector and dedicate more time to family.
