The Republic cryptocurrency platform plans to distribute dividends to users via its BIP-20 token on the Avalanche blockchain platform. According to a blog post from Republic, the project aims to provide holders of its GBYTE token with dividends paid out inbitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH). The BIP-20 token on the Avalanche blockchain offers faster transfer speeds and lower costs than other blockchains. Furthermore, the announcement adds that dividends payments will only be available to verified Republic users, who must first undergo a KYC verification process. The first dividend payments are anticipated to begin in the first quarter of 2021.
