The man, identified as Ronald DeRisi of Smithtown, New York, was arrested and charged with one count of interstate communication of a threat for an alleged telephone threat made to Republican U.S. House candidate Vivek Ramaswamy last week. He made an initial appearance in federal court on Tuesday and is facing up to five years in prison if convicted of the charge.
