It is impossible to predict with certainty what President Trump’s status will be in the 2024 Republican presidential primary race. A lot will depend upon the state of the nation and the Republican Party when 2024 arrives. For example, if there is a generally positive outlook and President Trump has a good record of accomplishments and relatively high approval ratings, then he would be in a very strong position to make a successful bid for a second term, depending on the overall field of Republican contenders. On the other hand, if President Trump’s performance in office has been lackluster or unpopular, he may have a much more difficult time competing in a competitive primary race.
