Chicago-area woman arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot former President Donald Trump, his son Barron

On February 16th, 2021, a Chicago-area woman was arrested for allegedly making a threat to shoot former President Donald Trump, his son Barron, and others. The woman, identified as Kristina Freberg, was arrested by Secret Service agents at her home in Palatine, Illinois. Freberg was charged with one count of knowingly and willfully transmitting a threat to injure another person.

According to reports, Freberg posted on Facebook that she was going to shoot Trump, his son Barron, and anyone who defended him. Freberg also reportedly threatened to “make it happen” on March 4th if necessary. The post has since been taken down by Facebook.

If convicted, Freberg faces up to five years in prison or a maximum fine of $250,000.
