Tropical Storm Idalia is expected to bring flooding, wind damage, and power outages to North Carolina after damaging thousands of homes in Florida. The storm is expected to produce up to 10 inches of rain as it moves across the coastal areas, leading to flash flooding and flooding of rivers and streams. Additionally, high winds and storm surge could cause significant property damage across the region. Parts of the state are under flash flood watches and warnings, as well as tornado watches and warnings. North Carolina officials have urged residents to take precautions and monitor weather conditions closely.
