Coca-Cola recalled 2,000 cases of drinks due to potential contamination

. The recall covered all eight-ounce bottles of Dasani Lemon Flavored Water, sold in seven states and the District of Columbia. The drinks were found to contain five times higher than the maximum amount of Bromate allowed by the FDA. The recall was initiated after an independent laboratory test revealed the presence of Bromate in the beverage. As a precautionary measure, the company issued a voluntary recall of all eight-ounce Dasani Lemon Flavored Water products that had been manufactured at the company’s plant in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Customers were asked to dispose of the drinks or return them for a refund. The company issued a statement saying that it was committed to quality and safety and “sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience.”
