Cipher, a Canada-based cryptocurrency mining firm, has announced the deployment of 37,000 Bitmain Antminers worth more than $100 million. This brings Cipher’s total hashrate to 482 PH/s, making it one of the largest Bitcoin mining operations in the world.

The massive deployment, which is the most significant single deployment ever, consists of 37,000 S19 Pro Antminers, including 31,845 S19M, 5000 S19, and 155 S19 Pro units. The Antminers will be operated in a secure and reliable data centre with backup power and cooling systems ensuring optimal performance.

Cipher CEO, Karl Jandrain, commented on the importance of the deployment: “Crypto miners must grow in both size and sophistication to match the increasing hashrate and complexity of Bitcoin’s network. The physical deployment of 37,000 Bitmain Antminers underscores Cipher’s commitment to providing its customers with dependable and streamlined mining services. We’re proud to have taken this step forward as we continue to pursue growth and optimization in Bitcoin mining.”

The firm is also investing in further expansion which include the development and construction of a new 500,000 sq. ft. purpose-built data centre, which will be the largest bitcoin mining facility in North America. The facility, which is currently under construction, is expected to add an additional 324 PH/S of hashpower to Cipher’s operations.

Cipher’s recent expansion cements the firm’s position as one of the largest Bitcoin miners in the world. With the launch of new initiatives such as Cipher Utility, which provides ambassadors with superior mining rewards, the firm is further expanding its network, fueling ever-stronger hashrates and diversifying its customer base.
